Seminar on Digitalization in Logistics Held at BEU

A seminar on "The Role of Digitalization in Logistics" was organized at Baku Engineering University (BEU) for students studying logistics and transportation.

Bakhtiyar Namazov, Head of the Department of Logistics and Transportation at BEU, emphasized that modern logistics systems are undergoing rapid transformation and that digitalization holds strategic importance in this field. The department head touched upon the significance of education-industry cooperation, noting that meetings with specialists play a crucial role in connecting students' theoretical knowledge with real business experience.

During the seminar, Tarlan Mammadov, Director for Azerbaijan at 4Log (Four Logistics) company, delivered a presentation providing detailed information about the organization's operational directions and digital solutions applied in international and local markets. During the presentation, attention was drawn to the advantages of ERP, TMS, WMS systems used in logistics processes, automated planning tools, and real-time track & trace technologies. It was stated that digitalization serves not only to reduce costs but also to effectively manage risks, minimize time losses, and increase customer satisfaction.

At the end of the seminar, students' questions were answered and recommendations regarding professional development were provided.
