A masterclass on “Learning Financial Science Based on Artificial Intelligence” was held for students

A masterclass on “Learning Financial Science Based on Artificial Intelligence” was held for third-year students of the Faculty of Economics and Management at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

In his opening speech, Professor Damat Baghirov, Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting, emphasized the growing role of artificial intelligence in teaching and applying financial science. He noted that AI makes access to various resources in the field of finance more accessible. AI-based textbooks, virtual instructors, and simulation programs provide opportunities to learn finance in an easier and more engaging way.

Following this, Professor Saleh Mammadov gave a presentation on the topic. He explained that modern financial analysis and strategies often require working with complex data, making forecasts, and assessing risks, which necessitates the use of advanced technological tools. AI accelerates these processes, making them more accurate and effective. He elaborated on the key roles of AI in teaching and applying financial science, including data analysis and decision support, risk assessment, simulation, modeling, AI ethics, and practical applications. S. Mammadov then continued teaching the subject using AI, which was met with particular interest by the students.
