Training on "Educators of the Future" has been organized by the Distance Education and Quality Assurance Center of Baku Engineering University (BEU).
Welcoming the participants, the director of the center Jamil Mammadov expressed confidence that the training would be useful for students.
The training for students of the Education Faculty of the University was conducted by Mansur Maharramov, Head of the Department of Educational Standards and Programs Department of the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
M.Maharramov spoke about the state standards of general education in Azerbaijan, as well as the state strategy for the development of education. He added that BEU was a higher education institution that trains the best specialists in several fields, including pedagogy.
Speaking about the duties of the teacher, the head of the department said that a teacher must know the subject he teaches perfectly, his basic education must be relevant to the subject he teaches, as well as he must follow the innovations his teaching field as well.
M.Maharramov said that teachers should know how students learnt, how they developed their knowledge and skills, and provide a learning environment. At the same time, he stressed the importance of educating citizens about the state and the law.
During the training, a survey was conducted among students on the topic.
Dean of the Pedagogical Faculty, Associate Professor Elshad Abdullayev thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of such a training. Moreover, He added that the main priority for the faculty was to train teachers with high pedagogical experience for our country.
The event ended with answering questions of students.
