Employees of Physics Department of Baku Engineering University (BEU) focusing on the organization of education and research in various areas closely participated in the "VI International Scientific Conference of Young Researchers" dedicated to the 99th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Furthermore, the research work of all employees of the Department was published in the collection of conference materials.

The two-day conference (April 29-30) was organized by BEU and the Academy of the State Customs Committee. In total, the conference included about 950 articles and 585 of them were accepted by anonymous reviewers.

At the plenary session of the conference, Associate Professor of the Department Ulker Abdurahmanova made a report on “Characteristics of some representatives of ternary compounds of type A^III B^III C₂^VI”.

Moreover, the theses presented by associate professors Farida Nurmammadova and Gachay Najafov were listened to with interest.

The students’ activity of Physics Department in research work was also particularly noticeable. Thus, Vusala Imanguliyeva, Arzu Alkhanova, Rauf Mammadov and Idris Mammadov, 3rd year undergraduate students, delivered a successfull speech on “Parabolic comets discovered in the 23rd and 24th periods of solar activity,” Laman Hajiyeva on “Nature of neutrino mass,” and Sanam Imanova on “Study of high-density polyethylene-ceramic composite by impedance spectroscopy.” They conducted research under the guidance of Professor Vali Huseynov, Hazi Gasimov and Nargiz Mehdiyeva, employees of the Department.
