The event “Know Your Hero” has been organized by the “Garabagh” club operating under the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC) of Baku Engineering University (BEU).

The event began with a minute of silence in memory of our martyrs and the playing of the National Anthem, and a video clip about the 44-day Patriotic War was shown.

In his opening speech, the chairman of the “Garabagh” club Nihad Suleymanov emphasized the role of such meetings with living witnesses of the Patriotic War in instilling patriotism in young people.

Then, the veterans, who showed heroism in the battles in the Fuzuli, Shusha, Aghdara, Gubadli, and Khojavend directions, ensigns - Kenan Guliyev, Ramin Shirinov, Salman Khudaverdiyev, and sergeants - Asgar Ahmadov, Gafar Mammadaliyev, and Vusal Gahramanov, delivered speeches. During the speeches, participants of the Patriotic War spoke in detail to the students about the path of war they had taken and the courage shown by our National Army during the war.

At the end, the questions of interest to the students were answered.
