Implementation of new project related to academic entrepreneurship starts at BEU

The implementation of the "Academic entrepreneurship-based start-up and incubation program" (ASSIP) project has started at Baku Engineering University (BEU) with the support of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency.

The project implemented by "BEU Technopark" and "New Idea" LLC has the goals of training teachers-mentors for the innovation ecosystem by developing the entrepreneurial skills of academics, integrating them into the ecosystem, as well as ensuring that new startups are brought to the market with their participation.

An academic entrepreneur is a person who forms a new product or service, as well as innovative technologies, effectively using the information and resources of the university where he operates.

It is planned to hold trainer training - TOT, hackathon and incubation programs within the framework of ASSİP. In addition to BMU, teachers from other universities will be able to participate in the trainer training program to be held next year. At present, the TOT program is being implemented in which more than 30 teachers of BEU participate. Within the framework of the program, trainings are organized by experts of Türkiye in this field and local professionals,
