Enlarged meeting of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences held

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted the next enlarged meeting of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty, PhD. in Economics Elsevar Ibadov stressed the importance of such discussions, which were held at the end of each year, and touched upon the issues to be discussed at the event.

Speaking about the results of last year, Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Mayis Azizov said that the semester ended successfully. He noted that since the current academic year, classes have been held in a hybrid form, and the fact that the faculty teachers were young and had  high knowledge of information technology created conditions for the organization of education at a high level.

The Dean noted that BEU recently hosted an international conference on the sustainable development of economy and administration, and the academic staff of the faculty presented their scientific research. He also stressed the importance of more intensive publication of employees' articles in scientific journals.

At the end of his speech, M. Azizov congratulated the academic staff of the faculty on the occasion of World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and New Year, and thanked the deputy deans, heads of departments and faculty staff for their contribution to the organization of the educational process at a high level.

Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty, PhD. in Economics Khanlar Heydarov made a detailed report on the exam session. He stressed the need to get acquainted with the instructions on exams prepared by the Center for Distance Education and Quality Assurance of the University.

BEU Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Associate Professor Elchin Suleymanov said that the Appeals Commission would work to ensure transparency in the examination process, timely response to complaints and suggestions of students. He also recommended strict observance of pandemic rules during the exam session.

Emphasizing that the  scientific activity of the University was active in the current academic year, the Vice-Rector said that BEU hosted two international scientific conferences in recent months. He added that BEU employees whose articles were published in the Web of Science database would be awarded in January.

The meeting ended with mutual discussions.
