A scientific-seminar has been held at the Department of Design of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction of the Baku Engineering University (BEU) on "Design solution of the interior of the architectural monuments of medieval history of Azerbaijan".

Speaking about the purpose of the seminar, the head of the department Vagif Mammadov emphasized that such events had a positive effect on the formation of fuller impressions of Azerbaijani architectural monuments among students.

Later, Aslan Khalilov, associate professor of the Department of History and Theory of Fine Art of Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, Doctor of Philosophy in Art Studies, made a speech.

In the report, the design solution of Eastern and Western architectural monuments, medieval religious and memorial monuments, civil buildings interiors, description method based on Islamic religion, directions of transition from conventional description method to realistic description method were discussed.

In his speech, the speaker explained the contradictions in Eastern and Western architecture, the use of architecture in conveying and spreading religion to people, the reasons for preferring geometric and plant ornaments in national architectural examples, monumental wall painting, tile design, including the essence of epigraphic tile examples found in national architectural monuments.

At the end of the report, which was listened to with interest, the questions of teachers and students were clarified.
