BEU employees attends the next meeting of the Erasmus + project

The next meeting of the Erasmus+ project entitled “Establishment of Rectors’ Conference in Azerbaijan” has been attended by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Baku Engineering Universty, professor Hamzagha Orujov, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Bayram Huseynzada, Chief Specialist of the International Relations and Project Management Department Narmin Alakbarova.

Vice-Rectors and other officials of 16 higher education institutions of Azerbaijan, project consortium members, participated in the event. 

The meeting aimed to evaluate the activities carried out in accordance with the work plan of the project and discuss the issues planned to be implemented at the next stage. 

Opening the event, the Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, Professor Jeyran Mahmudova spoke about the importance of the project and wished success to the project team.  

Gulshan Bayramova, Director of the University-Industrial Cooperation Center of Baku Business University, noted the results of the works done and the formation of a working group to establish the Azerbaijani model of the Rectors' Conference. The working group will prepare a number of documents on the organizational structure, mission, vision, membership rules of the Rectors' Conference, funding mechanisms of the Conference and the establishment of committees within it.

Speaking at the event, Nijat Mammadli, Head of the Department of Science, Higher Education and Secondary Special Education of the Ministry of Education, stressed that the project was successfully launched and was of special importance for the development of higher education in our country, as well as for expanding cooperation.

Later, the sides exchanged views on the implementation of the next tasks.

It should be noted that the coordinator of the project implemented with the financial support of the European Commission is Baku Business University.
