Doctor of Philosophy in Art History Arzu Mammadova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Architecture and Design at Baku Engineering University (BEU), has participated in the “I International Congress on Management of Organizations” held in Istanbul on November 27-28, 2020.

At the online conference, BEU employee A.Mammadova made a presentation on “NGO Model and Management Mission in Azerbaijan: Architecture, Construction and Design Public Union”.

The report presents the activities of the Architecture, Construction and Design Public Union (ACDPU) in the context of NGOs and examines its contribution to the education, historical and cultural values of the younger generation in artistic and social aspects. It was noted that ACDPU was established in Azerbaijan on May 2, 2001 and registered in the Ministry of Justice on July 30, 2003.

A.Mammadova noted that ACDPU operates in the fields of architecture, construction, engineering, design and education (education, seminars, projects, etc.) both with the support of the state and at its own expense. She stressed that Azerbaijan is working to develop the fields of architecture, construction and design, as well as to bring them up to modern world standards. Arzu Mammadova added that one of the main goals of ACDPU is to develop scientific projects within the framework of R&D research and achieve diversification of university-related buildings through the planning of large complexes.

It should be noted that the online Congress was attended by the leadership of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, a number of university rectors, professors and important representatives of the business world.
