An online meeting has been held between the Internship Department of Baku Engineering University (BEU) and the internship supervisors of the bachelor's degree students of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Hazi Gasimov, the head of the Internship Department, informed about the works done so far, and noted that letters were sent to about 60 enterprises together with the Department of on work with enterprises and career, taking into account the directions of specialties. H.Gasimov stressed that if the pandemic situation continued, the difficulties in organizing the internships would be discussed with the enterprises. He added that meetings related to the organization of internships would be held at other faculties.

It should be noted that the research internship of the 2nd year master’s degree students of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences ended on December 2, 2020, and the scientific and pedagogical internship will end on December 30, 2020. A total of 60 graduate students are participating in the internship program in the fall semester in International Economic Relations, Economy and Management of Manufacturing and Service Sectors, Business Administration, Accounting and Audit in Production, Public Sector Management and Financial Management.

4th year undergraduate students will be sent to a 14-week internship in the spring semester. In the current academic year, BEU is establishing contacts with relevant institutions for internships in some specialties, including Engineering Systems and Pipeline Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Ecology, Systems, Electricity, Process Automation, Machinery, Logistics and Transport Technologies, Industrial Engineering.

A total of 734 students will be sent to the production internship, including 334 students of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, 109 students of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, 252 students of the Faculty of Engineering, 39 students of the Faculty of Translation (in English).

It is planned to send 191 students of the Education faculty for pedagogical internship. The last course of undergraduate students' internships will take place from February 16 to May 25, 2021.

It should be noted that some companies work closely with BEU in the field of internship programs. One of them is “Esma Industrial Enterprises”. This enterprise operates in the field of import and installation of oilfield equipment. At present, the selection stage of students for the internship is underway. Students who successfully complete the internship will be offered a job.
