Canteen
Baku Engineering University provides accessible and affordable dining and cafeteria services to support the well-being, comfort, and everyday needs of students, academic staff, and other university employees. These services are organized to ensure convenient access to food and refreshments within the university campus. Dining facilities are provided through canteens operating in both the university's Main Building and the Engineering Building. This enables students and staff in various buildings across the campus to conveniently access dining services.
University canteens serve meals three times a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu offers not only Azerbaijani cuisine but also international and modern dishes. This approach gives an opportunity to consider the needs of students and staff who have different preferences and tastes. The main focus of dining service organization is on high quality, variety, and affordable prices.
Buffet facilities are available in each building across the campus to complement the main dining services. The cafeterias offer hot and cold beverages, light meals, snacks, and other daily essentials. These services provide students and staff with easy access to food and
drinks without having to leave the campus, particularly during class breaks and working hours.
One of the important elements of the continuous improvement of the quality of dining services at Baku Engineering University is the systematic collection and analysis of feedback from students and staff. For this purpose, surveys are regularly conducted by the Strategy and Quality Assurance Department. Through surveys, the opinions of students and staff are collected regarding their level of satisfaction with dining services, the quality and variety of meals, the affordability of prices, the level of service, accessibility, and other relevant matters. The results of the surveys are systematically analyzed, and the information obtained is used to improve dining services. Taking into consideration the suggestions and recommendations put forward by students and academic staff, appropriate changes are made to the menu, food variety, prices, and other aspects of the service when necessary.
Thus, a continuous feedback mechanism has been established at the University to ensure that users’ opinions are incorporated into the decision-making and improvement processes related to the organization of dining services.
For the University, dining services are not only intended to meet daily food needs but are also an integral part of enhancing the student experience, staff well-being, and a supportive campus environment. The accessibility of cafeterias and buffets across the campus, affordable pricing policy, diverse food options, regular collection of feedback, and improvement of services based on the results contribute to the development of a student- and staff-oriented campus environment at Baku Engineering University.
This approach is also an important element of the University’s broader quality assurance culture. Regularly collecting the views of students and staff, analyzing the results, and taking appropriate actions based on the feedback support the principle of continuous improvement of university services and their responsive adaptation to the needs of stakeholders.
