About Department

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is an academic unit providing high-level education in modern mathematical modeling, applied mathematics, programming, algorithms, and information technologies. The department offers programs at the undergraduate and doctoral levels, aiming to train qualified specialists in line with the demands of scientific and technological development.

The main goal of the department is to develop students’ analytical thinking, mathematical analysis skills, and fundamental knowledge in artificial intelligence and computational methods, and to enable their application to real-world problem solving. The teaching process combines both theoretical and practical approaches and is aligned with the requirements of the modern labor market.

Main Areas of Activity:

• Teaching - Courses in higher mathematics, linear algebra and analytic geometry, mathematical analysis, probability theory, optimization, programming, algorithms, database systems, computer networks, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other subjects.
• Research - Scientific research in spectral theory of differential equations and operators, mathematical physics equations, computational mathematics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
• Practical Collaboration - Cooperation with IT companies, technoparks, and state and private educational institutions, including student participation in internships and real projects.
