About Department
The “Industrial Engineering” department, operating since 2016, offers bachelor's studies in Industrial Engineering, master’s studies in the specialization Technologies and Operations Management, as well as MBA programs in Project Management and Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Instruction in the bachelor’s program in Industrial Engineering is conducted in Azerbaijani and English, while instruction at the master’s level and within the MBA program is conducted in Azerbaijani.
The department’s material and technical base ensures the provision of engineering education in accordance with modern requirements. In addition to classrooms equipped with technical devices, it also includes modern computer laboratories. The application of innovative technologies and methods in the teaching process plays an important role in improving educational quality. The computers, smart boards, and other technologies available in the department meet the needs of students during lessons and ensure the efficiency and visibility of the teaching process. The department collaborates with local enterprises and companies, providing students with internship and project experience.
The main goal of the Industrial Engineering department is to prepare professional industrial engineers who can optimize production processes in industrial enterprises, manage the interaction between humans and technology, oversee time and resource management, and use modern technologies effectively. Production processes are being renewed, equipment is rapidly changing, technology is advancing, and industrial sectors are becoming more complex. Against this backdrop, industrial engineering stands out as a field capable of adapting to every sector and optimizing systems.
