BEU Graduate Successfully Participates in Implementation of "from Start to Smart" Project
Baku Engineering University (BEU) graduate Talifa Isgandarli has actively participated in the implementation of the "from Start to Smart" project in the field of innovative entrepreneurship and water resource management. The project was implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Agrarian Credit and Development Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the New World program, and was financed by the Coca-Cola Foundation.
This initiative, implemented over a nine-month period, is aimed at developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem and startup activities, as well as preparing innovative solutions to existing water problems. The project consisted of four main stages - Idea Generation, Pre-incubation, Incubation, and Final stages. During these stages, participants successfully carried out the process from idea formation to the preparation and presentation of real business models.
The "from Start to Smart" project also aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals framework, specifically Goal 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation and Goal 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. The main objectives of the project included promoting efficient management of water resources in Azerbaijan, implementing innovative approaches to existing water problems in the regions, raising awareness about entrepreneurial activities, and creating new employment opportunities.
BEU graduate Talifa Isgandarli's active participation in this project once again demonstrates that young professionals are making real contributions to the country's sustainable development processes, in line with the university's innovation and entrepreneurship-oriented strategy.
