About Department

Admissions are carried out for the Decorative-Applied Arts major within the “Design” department. Within this field, students specialize in areas such as carpet weaving, tapestry, ceramics, metalwork, and glass art. An academic research and design center operates under the “Architecture and Urban Planning” and “Design” departments. This center is one of the leading scientific-educational hubs where creativity, technology, and aesthetic thinking come together.

The main purpose of establishing the center is to integrate the scientific-methodological essence of concept-based projects — which hold strategic importance for our country — into the educational process. The creative works of architecture and design students have attracted attention with their unique creativity at exhibitions periodically organized in the city centers of Baku and Khirdalan.
