About Department

Currently, the department consists of 50 teachers and 3 laboratory assistants. Overall, 619 undergraduate students, 57 master’s students, and 5 doctoral students are enrolled in the department.

The department has a laboratory that meets modern requirements. The laboratory is equipped with various devices and all necessary chemical equipment, allowing students to strengthen their theoretical knowledge through practical work. The teaching staff of the department includes experienced professors and associate professors who have studied at local and foreign universities and hold scientific degrees. They actively participate in both scientific research and industry-oriented projects.

The department also focuses on developing scientific research, applying innovative teaching methods, and strengthening cooperation with the chemical industry. It maintains close collaboration with Azerbaijan’s leading industrial enterprises, environmental organizations, and international universities. The department’s mission is to direct the scientific and technological achievements of chemical engineering toward societal welfare and contribute to environmentally safe and sustainable industrial development.
