Three students of Baku Engineering University (BEU) who showed high achievements in education have been awarded the Heydar Aliyev scholarship.
Meeting with the students who were awarded the scholarship - Zahra Guliyeva (mathematics and informatics teaching major), Mais Shabanov (computer engineering major) and Murad Ibrahimov (BEU-INHA dual degree program information technology major), Yagub Piriyev, the rector of BEU, congratulated them and wished them success in their future activities.
Emphasizing that the development of higher education and human capital in our country is one of the main directions of state policy, the rector drew attention to the important steps taken in the field of increasing the accessibility of higher education, improving the social protection of students, training highly qualified personnel in the country, and forming a competitive environment in higher education under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. Yagub Piriyev mentioned that according to the relevant Decree of the President of the country, "Heydar Aliyev scholarship" in the amount of 3000 AZN was established from the state budget for 100 students studying at the bachelor's level in higher education institutions and with high achievements in education. Stating that the scholarship established within the framework of the 100th anniversary of the Great Leader is a manifestation of the high level of care given to young people, the rector positively evaluated the awarding of this high scholarship to three students of BEU.
Interesting in the future plans of the students and had a sincere conversation with them, the rector advised the young people who showed high results during their studies to work harder in the future and to always be connected to the state and the Motherland.
The students who were awarded the scholarship spoke about their upcoming plans, pointing out that they would justify the high trust shown to them by the stater.
