A seminar on "Environmental terrorism in Karabakh" has been held for students within the framework of the "Green World Solidarity Year" organized by the Department of Social Sciences of Baku Engineering University (BEU).
Bilal Dadayev, associate professor of the aforementioned department, informed about the declaration of 2024 as the "Green World Solidarity Year" by the relevant Order of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as the 29th session of UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) to be held in Baku. Furthermore, he spoke about the important measures taken by our country in the direction of protection of ecological balance and environment, prevention of climate changes.
Later, the presentation of Esmira Ibrahimova, a first-year student of the University's Business Administration Department, was heard. The presentation focuses on "Nature and geography of Karabakh", "Karabakh before and after occupation", "Ecological effects of the war", "Mining and industrial pollution", "Ecocide in Karabakh", "Ecological restoration and protection programs".
A discussion on the topic was held at the event, and students' questions were answered.
