Presentation of "SABAH.lab" Acceleration Center held at BEU

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted a presentation of the "SABAH.lab" Acceleration Center under the organization of Science and Innovation Department, Technopark and Student Scientific Society (SSS) of the University.

Rahim Bayramli, CEO of “SABAH.lab” Acceleration Center, said that the organization was a new and innovative startup accelerator created under the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARTI) with the support of the Ministry of Education. The main activities of the center include supporting startups aimed at creating and developing innovative companies in various sectors of the economy.

Adil Gasimov, Chief Operating Officer of the Center, Elchin Yusubov, Head of the Science and Innovation Department of BEU, Arif Najimov, Chief Specialist of BEU Technopark spoke at the presentations.

It was noted that “SABAH.lab” had a 6-month intensive development program, which would serve the establishment and development of startups. According to the “NY Times”, “IE Business School”, which was ranked No. 1 in Europe for entrepreneurship and No. 8 in the world, was directly involved in the creation of this special program. The program provides opportunities for improving ideas, simultaneous foreign and local mentor support, coworking, meetings with potential investors and networking, investment opportunities.

The event continued with answering students' questions.

It should be noted that the program can be applied both individually and as a team. Individual applicants will be supported in team building and idea selection. The idea bank developed by “IE Business School” will support this work. Those who want to apply as a team must already have a fully prepared team and provide substantiated calculations of the idea they have decided, as well as examples from foreign and local markets.
