Memorandum signed between BEU and state university of Indonesia

The management of Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) of Indonesia has visited at Baku Engineering University (BEU).

Yagub Piriyev, rector of BEU, gave extensive information about the history, structure, teaching and research activities of the university he heads. Talking about BEU campus and modern laboratories, the rector noted the positive results of this year's admission to the undergraduate level of 36 majors and other achievements. Emphasizing that these factors are a clear indicator of the development of the university, Yagub Piriyev drew attention to the formation of international relations of the university in recent years. Mentioning the importance of establishing cooperation with Indonesian universities, the rector expressed his satisfaction with the relations established between UNESA and BEU.

Members of the UNESA delegation gave information about the university they represent in their speeches. It was reported that 14 faculties operate in the university, which was established in 1964, where engineering specialties are also taught, and more than 60 thousand students study in total. Pointing out that they are satisfied with the cooperation with BEU, the guests expressed their confidence that the relations will be beneficial for both parties.

At the meeting, issues of cooperation in scientific research, teacher, student exchange, QS and other directions were discussed.

Later, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was signed between the two universities. The memorandum, which aims to establish cooperative relations in the field of education, research, and innovation, includes exchange of students and academic staff, establishment of joint research and degree programs, organization of joint events, etc. 

After the signing ceremony, the guests had a closer look at BEU campus, cyber security, chemistry, and mechanics laboratories
