A meeting of doctoral students of the "2019-2023 State Program" and Baku Engineering University (BEU) has been held. The purpose of the meeting is to monitor the training of doctoral students abroad and discuss the works done in the field of relations with employers, as well as to ensure the implementation of contractual obligations.
The meeting was attended by BEU Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Associate Professor Elchin Suleymanov and the head of the Management Group of the State Program on Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023" Turan Topalova, who gave their recommendations to doctoral students.
It was noted that currently 5 doctoral students are studying with the consent of BEU, and 3 doctoral students will start their education through this program from the current academic year.
Doctoral students majoring in Computer Engineering and Chemical Engineering at the top-ranked universities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy and Turkey spoke about their successes and their collaboration with BEU.
The State Program was approved on November 16, 2018 by the Order No. 711 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The document is aimed at the establishment of international dual degree programs in the fields of priority for state economy between prestigious higher education institutions of the world and Azerbaijan, as well as funding the doctoral education abroad in order to prepare national cadre who have high scientific research skills for higher education institutions of Azerbaijan.
