Representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education and Baku Engineering University (BEU), who are on a visit to the Republic of Korea, have visited the Embassy of the Republic Azerbaijan to the Republic of Korea.
The delegation included Nijat Mammadli, Advisor to the Minister of Science and Education, Professor Havar Mammadov, Rector of BEU, Turan Topalova, Head of the State Program Management Group (SPMG), Manafaddin Namazov, Vice-Rector of BEU, Humay Jafarli, Director General of the BEU-INHA Dual Degree Program, and Asmar Ibadova, specialist in educational affairs.
Ambassador Ramin Hasanov noted that cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Korea in the field of education successfully continued under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The ambassador emphasized the importance and prospects of jointly implemented educational projects, and also expressed his views on future programs and projects.
Rector Havar Mammadov provided detailed information about the BEU-INHA Dual Degree Program, implemented for 3 years, and added that currently 274 students are studying in English under the program. Pointing out that the program was financed by the state, Havar Mammadov mentioned that the Ministry of Science and Education paid special attention to its implementation.
Of note, the main purpose of the week-long visit to the Republic of Korea was to hold discussions on the international double diploma program in the field of engineering between BEU and Inha University of the Republic of Korea within the framework of the "2019-2023 State Program", and various meetings in this context.
