Employees of Baku Engineering University (BEU) has participated in an information session on capacity building and funding mechanisms in higher education institutions within the European Union's Erasmus + programme for 2021-2027. Thus, the discussions were attended by BEU Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Manafaddin Namazov, Chief Specialist of the Department of International Relations and Project Management Narmin Alakbarova and Chief Specialist of BEU Technopark Arif Najimov.
Director of the National Erasmus + Office in Azerbaijan Parviz Baghirov gave detailed information about Erasmus + programme, including mobility, Jean Monnet (CBVET, EMJM / EMDM) and the newly announced grant competitions, the mechanisms of the project financing.
During the information session, the participants were informed about the national priorities of Azerbaijan and ways to use the current competition to strengthen the capacity in higher education institutions. Moreover, they discussed the importance of the capacity building in higher education institutions of Erasmus + programme, the improvement of the quality of educational programs within the implemented Erasmus + KA2 projects, the organization of new specialties and laboratories with European partners.
At the end, the questions of the participants were answered, as well as discussions were held on the development of new projects.
The representatives of the Ministry of Education, Education Quality Assurance Agency and 30 higher education institutions participated in the event, organized by the National Erasmus + Office in Azerbaijan.
