"Graduation Day" for the academic year 2023/2024 was organized in the Republic of Korea (South) for the first graduates of the full state scholarship dual degree program (BEU-INHA DDP) implemented between Baku Engineering University and Inha University.
The graduation ceremony, attended by faculty members and graduates of Inha University, began with the singing of the national anthems of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Korea.
In accordance with the program, 3 out of 61 graduates who completed the IV course at Inha University - Nigar Gurbanova (Information technology), Sahibzaman Shirinova and Shahmurad Orujova (Electronic engineering) were presented with an Honor certificate by Professor Park Jae-Hyun and Dean Sang Eun Shim.
Later, Park Jae-hyun and Sang Eun Shim conveyed their congratulations and heartfelt words to the graduates.
Among the graduates, Subahan Abdullayev (Electronics engineering) and Aysel Hasanova (Construction engineering) spoke on behalf of the students.
The event ended with the traditional "hat throwing" ceremony of the graduates and taking photos.
A total of 385 students study within the BEU-INHA international dual degree program based on the 3+1 model. They have the right to study for 3 years at BEU and 1 year at Inha University.
As part of the program, 83 more students are expected to visit Korea this year to continue their studies at Inha University. Students' living, education, travel and insurance expenses are covered within the framework of the "State Program on Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023".
