Graduation Day has started with National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and has been attended by MPs, state and government officials, academic staff of the University, parents and alumni.

    Rector of the University, Professor Havar Mammadov welcomed the participants and congratulated the graduates and their parents on a remarkable day in his opening speech. The rector noted that from the first days of his leadership National Leader Heydar Aliyev considered the development of sober-minded generation as a significant function of state and society, alongside with the development of the state. Havar Mammadov has mentioned that today, President Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva pay special attention to the participation of young people in the socio-economic, socio-political and cultural life of the state and society.

    Professor H.Mammadov pointed out that Baku Engineering University was established by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on November 8, 2016 in order to improve the teaching of engineering technologies and prepare highly-qualified personnel for the industry, and then the Rector informed the event participants about the activities, achievements and future plans of Baku Engineering University. This year, 962 students graduated from the University. 818 of them are undergraduate and 145 are graduate students. 88 students are awarded with diploma of honors.

  MP, doctor of economic sciences, academician Ziyad Samadzada congratulated the graduates and gave them his recommendations. He said that BEU strengthened its position in the society and the Azerbaijani education system with success. The prominent economist Z.Samadzada gave detailed information on the prospects of development of the Azerbaijani economy and the results of the reforms carried out under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

  Deputy Head of Executive Power of Absheron District Fuad Jabrayilov and Head of Absheron District Education Department Nazila Mammadova congratulated BEU graduates. They talked about the activities of the University in the social life of the district and their cooperation with secondary education institutions.

   General Director of Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park Nazim Talibov congratulated the graduate students. He gave information about university-industry relations, cooperation between BEU and the industrial park. Moreover, Nazim Talibov spoke about the role of personnel training in the competitive development of industrial parks.

    Honored graduates of the University were awarded. It should be noted that honored graduate of the department of English Language and Literature Almaz Mirzayeva graduated from university with the top GPA score 99.14.

    In the artistic part of the event, along with the amateur collectives of the university, famous artists congratulated the graduates.
