Event on "Towards Quality Education: Simple Explanation of Science" held at BEU

An event on "Towards Quality Education: Simple Explanation of Science" was held at Baku Engineering University (BEU) within the framework of the closing ceremony of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Week, organized by the Student Scientific Society (SSS).

In his opening speech at the event, held in accordance with the 4th direction of the UN SDG (Quality Education), Mayis Azizov, Director of the Science and Innovation Department at BEU, emphasized the importance of strengthening the scientific environment in higher education institutions, engaging students in scientific research, and supporting initiatives in this field.

Subsequently, Bahman (Qudsi) Mammadov, Senior Lecturer at BEU's Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, delivered a presentation on "Entertaining Explanation of Science." The presentation noted that science consists not only of theoretical knowledge but also forms creative thinking, logical reasoning, and systematic approach. B. Mammadov presented interesting examples of the application of scientific knowledge in daily life and emphasized the important role of mathematics in various fields—from technology to economics. The significance of conveying scientific knowledge to students in a simple and interactive format was also highlighted, and the enjoyable aspects of science were demonstrated through practical examples.      

Nazrin Guliyeva, a student of the "Business Management" specialty at BEU, touched upon the practical applications of science in her presentation on mathematics.

Furthermore, Aysu Jabrayilova, Chair of BEU SSS, and guests participating in the event, including Anar Shukurlu, Nurlan Mammadli, and others, made speeches.

During the artistic part of the event, a dance performance was presented with the participation of students. The event, which combined knowledge, creativity, and positive energy, was received with great interest by the participants.

At the conclusion, certificates and gifts were presented to students who distinguished themselves through their activity during SDG Week. Additionally, Gunay Bayramova, former Deputy Chair of the SSS, was awarded a certificate of appreciation for her successful work.
