A number of employees of Education Faculty of Baku Engineering University (BEU) have been awarded scientific degrees by the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Thus, the Head of Mathematics Department, Associate Professor Rakib Afandiyev was awarded the degree of Doctor of Mathematical Sciences, the Head of the Department of Chemistry and Biology, Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry Elmar Imanov the title of Associate Professor, and the teacher of Mathematics Department Chinara Hajiyeva the degree of Phd. in Mathematical Sciences. 

 R.Afandiyev successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on doctor of mathematical sciences "Direct and inverse problems for non-self-coupled Hill operator" in specialty 1211.01-Differential equations  and Ch.Hajiyeva  on the PhD. in Mathematics on "Approximations of hypersingular integral operators and their applications" in 1202.01-Analysis and functional analysis specialty.  

Nigar Aghayeva, a teacher of English Language Department, successfully defended her dissertation on PhD. in Philology "Genre features of Azerbaijani and English children's folklore" (5719.01 - Folklore).
