Chess tournament dedicated to November 8-Victory Day starts at Baku Engineering University(BEU). 

First, the historic victory in the 44-day Patriotic War was spoken of at the event. It was noted that under the leadership of President, Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani army restored our territorial integrity in just 44 days and achieved military caputulation of Armenia. The celebration of November 8 the day of the liberation of Shusha as a Victory day every year and the historical significance of this unprecedented victory were stressed. 

Then, the head of the Sport Department at BEU Elshan Hasanaliyev gave detailed information about the requirements of the game to the participants of the tournament. Noting that the winners would be awarded by the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC) of BEU, the head of the department wished success to the participants.

It should be noted that the tournament, which will be attended by students from all faculties of BEU, will end on November 13.
