According to the calendar plan approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "XIV Republican Universiade" is held among students of higher education institutions under the arrangement of "Ganjlik" Student Sports Society. The competitions are held on 10 types of sports and in total cover more than thousand students.

  Students of Baku Engineering University also actively participated in so-called competition. BEU students-Mammadali Guliyev won the 1st place in 61 kg category, and Vugar Guliyev won the third place in 61 kg in the freestyle wrestling competition held at the National Aviation Academy.

   It should be noted that the winners will take part in the XXX World Summer Universiade, which will be held in Neapol, Italy on July 3-14.
