A city-wide meeting with applicants has been held with the support of Absheron District Executive Authority, Baku Engineering University and Absheron-Khizi Regional Education Department.

At the meeting attended by the applicants taking the exams for the relevant groups in the region, first the dear memory of our martyrs was commemorated, and then a promotional video about BEU was demonstrated.

Delivering the opening speech, the deputy head of Absheron district executive power Gulnar Rahimova spoke about the attention and care given to young people at the state level in Azerbaijan, the favorable conditions created for their education, and various programs implemented in this direction.

The deputy head of the executive stressed the responsibilities of the youth in the future development of Azerbaijan, which has signed a historic victory. Moreover, highlighting the fact that the youth who are entering the best period of their lives as citizens of the victorious country should work harder, he expressed the importance of their training as highly qualified personnel to contribute to the great restoration and construction works carried out in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur.

Drawing attention to the importance of today's meeting, Gulnar Rahimova introduced the BEU staff at the end of her speech and urged the applicants to be active and get the most out of the meeting.

Bayram Huseynzada, Vice-rector for social issues and public relations of BEU, greeted the applicants and wished them success in their future student life. The vice-rector gave detailed information to the applicants about the new specialties taught and opened at BEU, which is the only higher education institution in Absheron region, the modern material and technical base of the university, newly opened Cyber ​​Security and other laboratories. Bayram Huseynzada stated that there are ample opportunities to develop as a specialist who meets the demands of the labor market at BEU, where English is the predominant language of instruction, and he also drew attention to the successful results achieved in the direction of job security for graduates who graduated from the university.

The vice-rector spoke about the comprehensive support given to talented students at BEU, the projects implemented in this direction, the activities of student organizations and clubs, and the friendly atmosphere between the management staff and students, which is rare in the university. Besides, he touched on other advantages of choosing BEU, which currently has two modern dormitories(boys and girls).

At the end, Bayram Huseynzada expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Absheron District Executive Authority and the Absheron-Khizi Regional Education Department for organizing such a meeting.

Later, at the event, the dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction of BEU Afar Alifov, the head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning Sabir Orujov, the head of the Department of Design Vagif Mammadov, the head teacher of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Bahman Mammadov, the chairman of the Student Union Committee Laman Sharifova made presentations on different topics. 

During the meeting, which was held in an interactive format, the questions of the applicants were clarified, and booklets containing information about BEU were distributed to them.
