A presentation titled "What is the Student Scientific Society (SSS)?" was held for students at Baku Engineering University (BEU).
Opening the event with introductory remarks, which was organized in accordance with the 4th direction (quality education) of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), Mayis Azizov, Director of BEU's Science and Innovation Department, spoke about the importance of scientific activities at the university. He emphasized the significance of engaging students in scientific research, their active participation in social and public life, and the promotion of scientific projects. He stated that the higher education institution provides extensive opportunities for the realization of students' innovative ideas, and BEU Technopark offers comprehensive support to young people in this field.
Subsequently, Aysu Jabrayilova, the newly elected Chair of the SSS, provided information about the society's objectives and its role in the development of university youth and in supporting scientific and social initiatives. She also touched upon the projects and activity plans to be implemented together with the new team.
Within the framework of the event, active members of the SSS also delivered speeches. They shared the experience they gained, the knowledge and skills they acquired through participation, and drew attention to the role this environment plays in personal and professional development.
Other speakers recommended that students join scientific activities, enhance their innovative thinking skills, and actively utilize the SSS platform in this direction.
During the event, which continued with interactive discussions, questions of interest to students were answered.
The event concluded with an artistic program prepared with student participation.
