BEU takes part in "Restoration, Reconstruction and Development of Karabakh" exhibition

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has taken part in the 1st Azerbaijan International "Restoration, Reconstruction and Development of Karabakh" Exhibition organized at the Baku Expo Center.

BEU was the only university among the universities represented at the exhibition. The University participated in the exhibition with the organizational support and cooperation of the engineering company of Ukraine “professor Katzenbach and partners”, “Ukrainian Institute for Engineering and Technical Searches for Construction”, and the Social Entrepreneurship Development and Training Center LLC.

The stand, in which BEU was represented together with its Ukrainian partners, displayed information about the University's current specialties, the dual degree program with INHA University of Korea, SABAH groups and the newly created Master of Cyber Security program through booklets and roll-ups. The stand, presented to the participants by two active students of the university (Aydan Gafarova and Chinara Mustafayeva) and the chief specialist of the Technopark Arif Najimov, also included models of modern and innovative house-building made by students.

It should be noted that some time ago, students of Design Department of University prepared park projects in Karabakh under the leadership of Tunzala Mammadzade, a teacher at the Department of Architecture and Design of BEU. The students selected the region they wanted in our liberated lands and submitted a park project according to that area. Moreover, Nikrouz Forouzandeh, a senior lecturer at the Department of Architecture and Design at BEU, took part in the competition "Renewed Face of Ancient Karabakh" held by the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture. According to the decision of the jury, the project presented by him together with another architect was awarded the 3rd place for Sarijali village of Aghdam region. The exhibition also included a model of 3 modern and innovative house-building made by students of the Department of Architecture and Design of BEU (Ayshan Bagirova, Pikakhanim Bagirova, Tukazban Mammadli and Huseyn Imanov), as well as a video demonstration of sketch projects of students and teachers.

At the exhibition, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Ukrainian Diaspora Organization in Azerbaijan, the First Secretary of the German Embassy in Baku, the Chief of International Organization for Migration, other companies and visitors received information about BEU.

Moreover, INHA Project Director of BEU-INHA DDP Hyunjin Yang visited the exhibition and got acquainted with the stand and the participants of the exhibition.

It should be noted that the 1st Azerbaijan International “Restoration, Reconstruction and Development of Karabakh” Rebuild Karabakh Exhibition is being held in connection with the liberation of and active restoration work in the territory of Karabakh. Participants of the exhibition are government agencies and local and foreign companies that will have a unique opportunity to present their projects - either planned or already being implemented in the territory of Karabakh - and products that they are ready to supply to the region, including their plans to establish local production and construct infrastructure facilities, and much more. The exhibition lasted for 3 days (October 20-22, 2021).
