Baku Engineering University (BEU) students' projects have achieved success in the "Rebuild Karabakh" hackathon.
Hakim Musazade, a third-year student majoring in "Electronics Engineering" under the dual diploma program implemented between BEU and INHA University of the Republic of Korea (South), has won first place in the "Rebuild Karabakh" hackathon. The "LankonFarm" project, formed with Hakim Musazade's participation, is an innovative platform connecting farmers with buyers. The platform encompasses not only an online sales and communication system, but also a prototype being developed for a smart cooling system aimed at preserving product quality. This technological innovation enables agricultural products to reach the market more efficiently.
Another project by BEU students has also been among the winners in the competition. A team consisting of Mahammadali Ayralov (CEO/Founder), a student majoring in "Chemical Engineering," Reyhane Mahmudova (UX-UI designer), and Pari Musayeva (3D Designer), a student majoring in "Civil Engineering," won second place with "Blueroot - A problem-solution application for smart agriculture projects." The project aims to answer farmers' questions, promote the implementation of new technologies, and accelerate the development of "Smart Agriculture" in the Karabakh region.
Both projects have been identified as innovative initiatives to be showcased at the World Urbanization Forum (WUF).
The main objective of the hackathon, organized within the framework of the "Smart City, Green Future: Towards WUF2026" project implemented by the "For the Progress of Karabakh" Public Union with the support of the State Agency for Support to NGOs, has been to attract young people, experts and innovative ideas to the reconstruction process of Karabakh and contribute to the sustainable development of the region.
