BEU rector meets with students developing "Zangazur" UAV

Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU) Yagub Piriyev has met with the members of the "RED" team consisting of students.

Calling the display of the Zangezur Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) developed by the team at the 5th Anniversary of Azerbaijan International Defense "ADEX-2024" as well as the 14th International Internal Security, Protection and Rescue Equipment "Securex Caspian" exhibitions, the rector conveyed his most sincere congratulations to them on this occasion.

Furthermore, appreciating awarding the team a special certificate by the organizers of these prestigious international exhibitions, the head of the higher education institution noted that young people's interest in the technological field and innovative skills have a positive effect on their development.

At the event, it was said that "Zangezur" UAV caused great interest of the management of the famous Turkish "Baykar" company, which participated in the exhibition.

Interesting in the future projects of the students, the rector wished them success in achieving new successes and also stressed that the university will continue all kinds of support.

Later, Yagub Piriyev awarded the team members with an Honorary Order for their successful participation in international exhibitions.

It should be noted that all electrical and electronic control systems of "Zangazur" UAV, which have high technical parameters and radio-ecological monitoring capabilities, were developed by BEU students. The UAV has high capabilities, such as working in hybrid mode for 3 hours in the air, climbing to a height of 6 km.
