Yasemin Karabagli Solay, manager of the Turkey, Qatar and Central Asia region of Elsevier, the world's leading scientific and analytical company, has visited Baku Engineering University (BEU).
The vice-rector for international affairs Atraba Gul welcomed the guest who met with the employees of BEU and emphasized the importance of discussing the issues of publication of scientific articles of university scientists in prestigious journals with a high index with the representatives of the "Elsevier" company, pointing out that they are ready to listen to the proposals made in this direction.
Yasemin Karabagli Solay, the manager of "Elsevier" company, noted that despite being a young higher education institution, BEU has achieved a number of successes, university scientists have published articles in "Scopus", the world's largest scientific database. In her presentation, she talked about completely different analytical studies related to the data received on "Scopus", drawing attention to the place of BEU in these studies, as well as the areas touched upon in the articles of university scientists.
Moreover, detailed information was given on the overview of relevant databases, their scope, possibilities of use, innovations applied by scientific databases.
At the meeting, the scientific productivity of the university, the ability to discover cooperation partners, identify research trends, analysis, visualization, etc., through SciVal software, which is an improved analytical solution method, were widely discussed.
At the end, other issues of mutual interest were considered.
