Noting that BEU was established by the Order of President Ilham Aliyev on November 8, 2016, the rector added that the University has hosted dozens of international conferences in a short period of time, which were attended by researchers and speakers from more than 20 countries.
Speaking about the research work carried out at the University, the rector emphasized that the articles by BEU employees were published in impact factor journals, as well as the University's position in the QS World University Rankings increased. The head of the University stressed that one of the main tasks of the University is to actively participate in research and contribute to the emergence of new technologies.
Noting that the conference was dedicated to an important topic, the rector said that science and technology are the driving force of sustainable development. The international event aims to bring people working in engineering and related fields (scientists, researchers and public and private sector workers) together, increase university-public-private sector cooperation, share new research and ideas, as well as joint solutions to problems. The rector wished success to the conference.
