BEU hosts information session on the WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 competition

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted an information session on the WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 competition.

Shahriyar Seyfalili, Program Manager of the State Agency for Vocational Education under the Ministry of Education, Tamerlan Mammadov, Project Manager of the WorldSkills Azerbaijan Platform and Esmira Isgandarova, Communication Manager of the WorldSkills Azerbaijan Platform, made speeches at the event for students of the University majoring in Computer and Information Technology.

In the speeches, the participants were informed about the activities of the platform, the works done and important points related to the national competition on cyber security. Students were given detailed information about the registration process and stages of the competition.

It was noted that young people under the age of 25 could participate in the competition, which consisted of 3 stages. At the end of the competition, the participants with the best results will be included in the national team of the WorldSkills Azerbaijan platform for cyber security and will be involved in the preparation process for the WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 international competition. The two selected participants will be eligible to represent Azerbaijan at the WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 international skills competition on October 12-17, 2022. Applications for the competition are accepted until December 28.

The competition is implemented in cooperation with the State Agency for Vocational Education and the WorldSkills Azerbaijan platform.

The event ended with answering students' questions.

It should be noted that WorldSkills Azerbaijan is a national platform for skills development. The WorldSkills movement, which is known around the world as the organizer of the Olympic Games in various skills, provides an opportunity to train professionals in accordance with the requirements of the labor market and global standards, and integrate these standards into the education system.
