BEU hosts information session on “One” Student-Volunteer Program

Baku Engineering University (BEU) has hosted an information session of the "One Volunteer" Student Cooperation Public Union.

Employee of the Union Leyla Zeynalova gave in-depth information about the history of the organization, its main purpose and scope.

It was noted that the "One" Student-Volunteer Program, established by the Ministry of Education in 2015, had expanded with the passage of time. The long-term program to stimulate volunteerism and assess students' extracurricular leisure time activities (6 different directions: Learn, Teach, Live, Keep alive, Discover, Enjoy) covered 26 higher, 18 secondary and 10 vocational education institutions in the current academic year. Furthermore, the program is also actively implemented in the Karabakh region. Thus, for supporting the organization of the events and the reconstruction work in Shusha and Aghdam, about 100 student volunteers were involved.

Later, Ilkin Guluzade, Baligiz Nurmammadova, Najiba Alimirza, the coordinators of "One Volunteer" organization in BEU, took the floor.

10 students of "One Volunteer" participated in the competitions held within the event and were awarded with various prizes.

The event ended with answering students' questions and discussing prospects for mutual cooperation
