A conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU) together with the Khirdalan city territorial party organization No. 40 of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP).

The event, which began with the playing of the National Anthem, commemorated the dear memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev with a minute of silence and a film about the meaningful life path and rich activities of the National Leader was demonstrated.

Speaking at the conference, BEU Rector, Professor Havar Mammadov spoke extensively about Heydar Aliyev’s unparalleled historical services in the field of independent state building and the life-saving mission during the National Leader’s leadership in political power in Azerbaijan. The rector emphasized that the great personality dedicated his entire life to the happy future of his people, the creation and development of a powerful Azerbaijani state, as well as to strengthening state sovereignty and increasing its economic potential.

Havar Mammadov noted that the Great Leader, who was always with his people in the most difficult days, took decisive steps as a result of his visionary, wise policy and competent leadership aimed at the future, achieved the implementation of complex development programs and extensive reforms, and created the unshakable foundations of our statehood.

The rector spoke about the great work carried out by the National Leader, who always paid attention to the development of all areas, in the science and education system, and about the tireless activity he carried out in the direction of forming an army of new specialists based on education abroad, precisely at the expense of Azerbaijani personnel.

Stating that today Azerbaijan is resolutely walking along the path set by Heydar Aliyev, Havar Mammadov noted that all the dreams and ideas of the genius personality who has gained eternity in the memory of the people, as well as the policy of building a democratic, legal, secular and powerful state, are being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

Abdin Farzaliyev, the head of the Absheron District Executive Power, drew attention to the fact that Heydar Aliyev, the architect of the modern Azerbaijani state, worked with great determination for the sustainable development of our country at all stages of his life, stating that the author of the achievements we have achieved in the last half-century of history is the Great Leader. Sharing his memories of meetings with the Great Leader during his youth, Abdin Farzaliyev emphasized that the greatness of Heydar Aliyev's personality and his services to our state are understood more deeply as time passes.

In his speech, the head of the executive power stated that the foundation of the historic Victory, the glorious and brilliant victory gained in the 44-day Patriotic War, was laid precisely with the far-sighted policy of the National Leader, noting the important successes achieved in all spheres, and the steps taken for the stable and stable development of our state-building, owing to the resolute will of Ilham Aliyev, a worthy successor to the political course of Heydar Aliyev.

Academician Vagif Abbasov, Director General of Institute of Petrochemical Processes named after acad. Yusif Mammadaliyev under the Ministry of Science and Education, spoke in detail about the continuous and determined activities of the outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev, who laid the foundations of our modern statehood, to save our country from deep political and economic decline, as well as from socio-political fragmentation and anarchy.

Speaking about the undeniable influence of the Great Leader in the world political arena, who, always remaining faithful to the ideology of national statehood, undertook a historical mission in the most difficult years of his homeland and completed these obligations with honor, the academician emphasized that since 2004 he has been engaged in research and studies of the titanic activity of the Heydar Aliyev phenomenon, and that these studies are included in his books “Philosophy of Leadership”, “Life Lessons of Geniuses, Wise Men and Conquerors”, “Oil and Oil Strategy of the Great Leader”.

At the end of the event, a group of young people who joined the ranks of the NAP were presented with membership cards.
