BEU and Universiti Teknologi MARA discuss cooperation issues

An online meeting has been held between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), one of the largest universities in Malaysia.

The main purpose of the meeting was the exchange of teachers and students, as well as the development of a dual degree program based on engineering specialties.

The discussions were attended by officials of BEU and UiTM, relevant departments, as well as heads of departments and deans.

The parties discussed in detail the prospects for future cooperation between the two universities. Moreover, they agreed to support the relevant works and take appropriate steps in order to establish close cooperation in the near future.

Of note, UiTM was established in 1956. Today, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) has about 172,000 students and is a leading university not only in Malaysia but also in Southeast Asia. The University, where many foreign students also study, trains highly qualified personnel in applied sciences, architecture, engineering, computer and mathematical sciences, medicine, pharmacology, agriculture and agrotechnology.
