Baku Engineering University (BEU) and the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) will conduct joint research on 3 directions of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

With the participation of teachers and students of both universities, a team will be formed in the directions of "Clean water and sanitation", "Efficient and clean energy", "Fight against climate change" of the Ministry of Education, and the selected teams will start research together in the near future.

It is important to emphasize that Azerbaijan is a party to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and has joined the fight against global climate change. 2024 has been declared the "Green World Solidarity Year" in Azerbaijan, and important measures are being implemented in this direction in our country. It is worth reminding that the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29 will be held in Azerbaijan next month.

Joint research of BEU with a well-known university of the United Arab Emirates, which hosted COP28, aims to contribute to the fight against climate change, including action in the field of green energy.

It should be noted that UAEU is the leading educational and research institution of the United Arab Emirates. The university, which provides bachelor's education in 70 programs, ranks 261st in the world ranking.
