An agreement on cooperation and joint activities has been signed between Baku Engineering University and “BERC Group” LLC.
The document signed by BEU Rector Yagub Piriyev and BERC Group Director Ruslan Mammadov envisages the development of cooperation between the higher education institution and the business sector. The objectives of the agreement include the application of scientific and technological innovations to the development of entrepreneurship, strengthening awareness of the business sector among faculty and students, ensuring the dissemination of new applications, continuous strengthening of knowledge and skills in accordance with the conditions of the time, as well as social responsibility and joint implementation of innovative projects.
Rector Yagub Piriyev drew attention to the importance of the agreement in terms of further development of cooperation between the university and the business world. Touching upon the work done in this direction at BEU, existing opportunities, as well as projects implemented in the BEU Technopark, the rector expressed his belief that joint activities would contribute to the common cause. Yagub Piriyev gave information about the main goals of BEU, which provides training in Azerbaijani and English at all levels of education, as well as innovations, sharing his thoughts on issues that will arise from joint cooperation.
Later, Kenan Agayev, co-founder of “BERC Group”, noted that they attach special importance to establishing relations with BEU. Expressing his confidence that the signed document would play an important role in the development of cooperation between the university and the business sector, Kenan Aghayev provided extensive information about the company that builds a specialized business services ecosystem. He stated that one of the goals set by “BERC Group” is to strengthen the business world-university platform. The company, which plays a leading role in mutually benefiting from the potential of business entities and the academic sector, offers more than 200 services.
During the discussions, the issues included in the agreement - supporting student startups, organizing joint events and trainings that contribute to the development of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship, involving students in internships, supporting scientific and research experience, implementing joint projects, conferences, implementing career-related projects, etc. were reviewed.
