Baku Engineering University to cooperate with Ariel University

An online meeting has been held between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and Ariel University.

The rector of BEU, professor Havar Mammadov gave detailed information about the faculties, material and technical base of the higher educational institution, and the international programs it implemented. Noting that BEU was interested in cooperating with Ariel University of Israel, Havar Mammadov emphasized that the possibilities of organizing joint dual degree programs in information technologies, information security, drone engineering, mechanics, electrical engineering and other engineering fields, establishing student-teacher exchange programs, and organizing conferences and scientific researches, projects, as well as their implementation.

At the meeting, the Vice-Rector for International Relations of BEU, associate professor Manafaddin Namazov made a presentation and brought to attention the necessary information about the dual degree program implemented jointly with Inha University of South Korea, projects implemented with foreign partners, and etc.

Later, the Rector of Ariel University, Professor Albert Pinhasov and the Director of Strategic Projects Development of the rector's office Dr. Nadia Yermakov made a speech and gave detailed information about the university they represented, as well as expressed their interest in cooperating with BEU.

Afterwards, at the meeting, extensive discussions were held on topics of interest to both sides, and it was agreed to take appropriate steps to start joint activities and sign a cooperation agreement in the near future.

Of noted, Ariel University is a multidisciplinary research university. Currently, about 17,000 students are studying in the university campus. Study programs are implemented in 5 faculties (medicine, engineering, natural sciences, health sciences and social and humanities) and 2 schools (architecture and communication). The rest of the students study at the academic training center and at the "Arielda Engineers" technological college. In addition, there is an extracurricular and continuing education department in Tel Aviv. The university has many research and innovation centers, 200 active projects, 135 patents (24 new patents every year with an application), has 7 active start-ups and 55 licensing agreements. The higher education institution has an entrepreneurship center and 24 projects that have received venture capital, in addition to international cooperation with well-known research funds.
