New articles have been added to the publications of Baku Engineering University (BEU) in prestigious scientific journals abroad in the first days of 2021. Thus, two articles co-authored by Elchin Suleymanov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Associate Professor of Finance Department, were published in scientific journals indexed in authoritative scientific databases.

E.Suleymanov’s article "The impact of the pandemic on the tourism sector of Azerbaijan" co-authored by Professor of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics Farhad Rahmanov, Department head of Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University, assoc.prof. Elmira Gojayeva was published in the scientific journal "Tourism and Hospitality" of Polessky State University. The article examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Azerbaijan's tourism sector. The full text of the article is available at https://rep.polessu.by/handle/123456789/20702 .

The second article co-authored by BEU associate professor Elchin Suleymanov, professor of Azerbaijan State University of Economics Farhad Rahmanov, associate professor of the same university Shahla Huseynova and head of department of Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University, associate professor Elmira Gojayeva is dedicated to "Real opportunities and limitations of tourism industry development in post-pandemic period. The article was published in the Romanian Statistical Review, which is indexed in the authoritative scientific databases of the National Institute of Statistics(Romania). It should be noted that over the past year, BEU Vice-Rector E. Suleymanov has published more than 10 articles and conferences abroad. The Vice-Rector's more than 100 scientific publications are published on the world's leading research sharing portals Academia.edu, Researchgate.net, Mendeley, Web of Science Thomson Reuters, Growkudos, ORCID and Scopus. The articles of BEU associate professor, an expert of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and the World Economic Survey since 2015, is one of the highest figures published in impact factor journals on social sciences in Azerbaijan. 

At present, the number of references to Suleymanov's publications in journals based on Scopus and Web of Science is more than 115, according to Google Scholar - more than 400, and the Hirsch index is 12. This is one of the best indicators in the social sciences and humanities in Azerbaijan. At the same time, these indicators once again show the attention of the scientific community to research related to Azerbaijan.  

It should be noted that, in general, the research work of BEU scientists is expanding, and every year the number of publications of such articles, as well as their quality is growing.
