The article, authored by Bilal Dedayev, Head of the Social Sciences Department at Baku Engineering University (BEU), has been published in the “Journal of Karatay Social Research” international indexed journal included in the Turkish “Dergipark” platform.

The article titled " Azerbaijani Calligraphers, Painters and Bookbinders who lived in the Ottoman Empire in Mustafa Ali's Menâkıb-I Hünervaran" gives a detailed analysis of the work written in 1587 by one of the Ottoman authors, Galibolulu Mustafa Ali (d. 1599). The book entitled "Menakib-I Hunervaran", which contains enough information about the artists who lived in the XV-XVI centuries, also discusses 18 Azerbaijani artists (11 calligraphers, 6 painters and one bookbinder) who worked in the Ottoman Empire in detail.

To complete the biography of the Azerbaijani artists named in the work, the author used numerous Ottoman archival documents and other sources of that time.
