81st TOPIK test held at BEU

The 81st TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) has been held at Baku Engineering University (BEU). The test was initiated by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan and the BEU-INHA Dual Degree Program.

The reason why the test was held at BEU was the facts that 2 admissions were conducted to Dual Degree Program in 2020 and 2021, as well as more than half of TOPIK test takers were DDP students.

TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) I & II was attended by a total of 291 students across the country, 138 of whom were BEU-INHA DDP students.

The results of the exam will be announced by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) on May 20.

Of note, every year National Institute for International Education (NIIED) conducts TOPIK tests in domestic and overseas locations to assess Korean language skills.

It should be noted that students involved in the Dual Degree Program implemented between BEU and INHA University of the Republic of Korea within the "State Program on Increasing the International Competitiveness of Higher Education in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023" were mainly required to learn Korean and pass TOPIK test. As part of the program, fourth-year students must take the required language level in Korean in order to continue their education at INHA University. Therefore, from the first semester, students acquire language skills with professional teachers qualified in Korea. Furthermore, measures are being taken to prepare for the TOPIK test.
