Icheri Sheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve Department, a member of the Organization of World Heritage Cities(OWHC) since 2016, invites students to participate in an international video competition organized by OWHC with the support of the Ministry of Education. 

Students of Baku Engineering University (BEU) can also take part in the international video competition on “New start. New review. New city”.

The main purpose of the competition is to discover historical cities, especially during the pandemic, through the eyes of young people and give them the opportunity to express their ideas about what their historical cities will be like in the post-pandemic period.

Those wishing to participate in the competition can prepare a 5-minute video on the topic and submit it to the Icheri Sheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve Department no later than March 1, 2021. The competition is intended for young people aged 14-17 and 18-21. The international competition will be held in two stages - local and international. The videos will be evaluated according to the criteria of quality, content, originality and creativity.

The winners will be announced by the the Organization of World Heritage Cities after June 2021.

It should be noted that the the Organization of World Heritage Cities implements various projects related to the preservation of world historical and cultural monuments in the member cities.
